Trim: draw a line on

Trim shows part of a shape's outline. Animate it and the line draws itself on.

Try this

  1. Press play. The signature draws itself on and the star's window runs around it.
  2. Select a shape, open Modifiers, click Trim, and drag From, To and Offset.
  3. Demos 2 and 3 order Trim and Deform both ways. Drag a row's handle to swap them.
