Echo: a trail behind a shape

Echo draws copies of a moving layer as it was moments earlier, leaving a trail of ghosts.

Try this

  1. Press play. Each shape leaves a trail; in Demo 3 the ghosts run ahead.
  2. Select a shape, open Modifiers and click Echo.
  3. Change Echoes for the trail's length, and Spacing for the time between ghosts.
  4. Lower Fade and Taper, under Kept per echo, so each ghost is fainter and smaller.
