Choke: round, roughen or erode edges

Choke blurs a layer and cuts it sharp again, to round corners, fatten or thin a shape, or give it a grainy, boiling edge.

Try this

  1. Press play. Each caption names the setting that is moving.
  2. Click the star, open Effects and drag Radius. The points round more or less.
  3. Click the word, open Effects and drag Roughness. The edges break into speckle.
  4. Near the end, the star's speckle sits still, then boils. That is Drift, in the star's Effects.
