Mask: show through a shape

A Mask shows a layer only where another layer paints, like a photo inside a shape or type.

Try this

  1. Click a photo in the first row, open Modifiers and click Mask. Shape names the masking layer.
  2. In the second row, drag Feather to soften or harden the edge.
  3. In the third row, a stroke-only shape masks as a ring: a mask follows the paint.
  4. Press play. On the left the photo moves behind a still window; on the right the window moves.
