Fill: one paint for a layer

A Fill row paints a layer with a color or gradient; its row order sets what it covers.

Try this

  1. Press play. Demo 6 keys its Fill from a flat color to a gradient.
  2. Click that shape, open Modifiers, click Fill, then the Paint swatch. Switch between Solid and Gradient.
  3. Demos 4 and 5 order Fill and copies both ways. Fill last paints every copy one color.
  4. Demo 3's dashed outline is the shape's own Stroke, set under Shape.
